Join us on Friday, August 15^th for a fundraising effort to support Team Tatas 2008 from Cardinal Health (Lori Huber, Stacie Russell, Kim Kell, Cathy King, Alissa Carbonaro, and Tracy Godfrey). These ladies will be walking in Los Angeles on September 13-14, 2008, in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. In 2006 Stacie and Kim walked 39.3 miles in New York City, and in 2007 a larger group walked in San Francisco. They raised $12,785 in 2007 and with even more participants this year they hope to exceed that amount.

Six Pack Theory and Love Sick Radio will be playing a benefit concert for their efforts at Flannagan’s Dublin. Show starts at 7 PM. In lieu of a cover, donations will of course be accepted and greatly appreciated.

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer helps to support medical research into the possible causes of and cure for breast cancer, education and early detection programs, and clinical care and support services for men and women with breast cancer in communities across the country. There is a special focus on helping medically underserved women, the poor, minorities, the elderly, or those with inadequate health insurance. And much of the money granted by the Foundation goes back to the communities where it was raised, supporting everything from local grassroots programs to national organizations.
